Abstract
This research seeks to show the evolution in the thinking of Indo-Caribbean women and girls when it comes to their educational values and career paths. Coming from an Indo-Caribbean background, and speaking from experience, I wish to elaborate and add to the study of the Indo-Caribbean women. For this research, I conducted a digital storytelling workshop in which my participants created digital stories as their product. The digital stories of the participants will then be analyzed. Being an Indo-Caribbean woman, I have broken free of the expected gender role within this society by pursuing a degree that many have only dreamed of obtaining. Being a second generation Indo-Caribbean woman in America allowed me the opportunity to pursue my dream and goals in terms of education. As such, I have opened doors of opportunities to upcoming Indo-Caribbean women and girls in the sense that anything is possible if you are dedicated and you put your mind to it.
