Welcome
We have all experienced education differently.
In the case for immigrants who have migrated from the Caribbean countries to America in search of a better life for themselves and their children, the emphasis on education is quite profound.
I speak from experience as I welcome you to my research on Indo-Caribbean Women and Girls and their experience with education.
This site is a summation of my research for my Doctoral degree from Murray State University. On it, you will engage in my research, watch digital stories created by young Indo-Caribbean women about how they experienced education based on a workshop they completed, and become inclusive of my journey with education and my research.
In addition, this research looks into the importance of digital storytelling and how it could be useful in todays classroom.
Please take a moment and watch these digital stories.
